Roy & His Friends New Design Launched
There are three reasons for reworking my homepage and blog.
First, trend. It seems that 2011 is the year for designers. Google’s new design has been sprawling into every corner of this giant. Facebook’s news ticker, though it aroused many users’ arrogance, really alleviates the information overload in friends’ news. Whether you like it or not, visual attraction has been considered to be one of the most important factors of a product.
Second, dream. As the founder of 2D Manifold Studio, I am really glad to see young college students trying new possibilities through their imagination. Recently, inspired by my collaborator, Tao Huang, we are going to co-found something (company? studio? who cares!) called Unit Interval, to bring our cooperation in web development to a whole new level. Founding those studios is nothing but a glimpse of my ‘dream iceberg’. Though I am now trapped in a ‘pit’, dealing with crazy stuff, those dreams never abate. On the front page, I listed the keywords of those dreams, and most of them are incubating. If you are interested, it might not take you long to figure them out.
Third, pressure from my girlfriend. Details are classified.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the new design.
